Arnica, in fact, is a plant with a recognized anti-inflammatory action (Iannitti et al, Am J Ther, 2016), which speeds up healing in case of trauma, bruises, muscle aches, but also helps to improve joint mobility (Marzotto et al, PLoS One, 2016). Ointments with 20% arnica have proven capable of accelerating healing in case of bruises (Leu et al, Br J Dermatol, 2010).
The ointment is odorless due to the fact that it uses the lipophilic extract of the plant, or oleolith, which does not release the smell of the flower. Not only that, the ointment is easily absorbed and is also moisturizing thanks to the vegetable oils with which it is prepared, such as sunflower, castor, grapeseed and cotton.
Here are the ingredients of this ointment:
Arnica Montana Flower extract, or arnica. The ointment contains 30% arnica.
There are the following vegetable oils that nourish the skin:
Helianthus annuus seed oil, or sunflower oil
Ricinus communis seed oil, or castor oil
Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil
Gossypium herbaceum seed oil, cottonseed oil
Other ingredients are:
Cera alba, which is the emulsifying and emollient beeswax, Lecithin, emulsifier, Tocopherol, or vitamin E which is an antioxidant, Ascorbyl palmitate, which is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C, Citric Acid, naturally present in citrus fruits, has the function of regulating the pH
How to use: The ointment dissolves quickly when in contact with the skin. Pick up a small amount with your finger and apply directly to the affected area in case of pain, bruises and bruises. In case of headaches, it may be useful to massage a little product on the temples or, if the pain is due to tension in the cervical area, also on the neck. You can repeat the application for 2-3 times a day.
