You can prepare a mask for your skin in case of acne and oily skin by mixing two teaspoons of ventilated green clay and two drops of lemon essential oil. Add some water in order to obtain a smooth paste, apply it on your face for about 10 minutes, then rinse it off with water. If you have dark spots on the skin mix 2 drops of lemon essential oil and 50 ml of aloe vera gel. Apply this cream, better in the evening. Because of its photosensitizing effect avoid lemon essential oil before sun exposure or sunlamps. Finally, in case of cold sores or insect bites pour 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil on a cotton ball and apply several times a day.
Inflammations of the gums and mouth, aphthae
You can use lemon essential oil to gargle: pour a couple of drops of lemon essential oil in a glass of water and gargle.
Poor blood circulation and chilblains
Lemon essential oil can stimulate blood circulation, it helps in case of cellulite and swollen ankles and legs. Try to mix two drops of this essential oil and a tablespoon of a vegetable oil, such as sweet almond or sesame oil, then massage the interested part.
