Chickpea Farinata is a kind of chickpea pancake from Italy. The recipe is very simple, the dish is tasty and health with just a few ingredients: chickpea flour, water and onion.
280 gr chickpea flour
930 gr lukewarm water
1 red onion
Pour the water in a bowl, then add slowly the chickpea flour, mix the compound. Let it sit for a couple of hours and stir it every now and then. Pour the compound of water and flour on a baking pan covered with baking paper and a little oil. Add to the surface the thinly-sliced onion and cook in the oven at 200° for 36 minutes. Chickpea Farinata is ready. by changing the quantity of water the consistency of the farinata will also change. If you want to obtain a softer farinata you just have to add more water than the indicated quantity.
