Now is the time to make orange jam! Scented, not too sweet and full of taste, the orange jam is really a great way to start the day with lots of energy and the spices in the jam help to keep blood sugar under control in addition to providing valuable antioxidants. Today we offer two versions for this jam, completely sugar-free and with a reduced amount of brown sugar, for all tastes!
Ingredients, sugar-free jam
6 organic blood oranges
1 apple
1 glass of apple juice
1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

2 kg of organic blood oranges
1 glass of apple juice
300 grams of whole cane sugar
1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Sugar-free jam
Clean the oranges and peel them, remove the white part as well. Wash the apple and cut it in half, remove the core. Cut the fruits into small pieces, remove the seeds and pour the orange and apple pieces into a large pot. Also add some very thinly sliced ??orange peel. Pour in the apple juice. Heat and simmer for 40 minutes. Add the spices and pass with the immersion blender in order to have a more homogeneous consistency, cook for a few more minutes. Pour into sterilized jars to the brim and close with the lid. Turn the jars upside down for five minutes, then flip them again and wait to hear the characteristic cloc of the lids, the jam is ready. Once opened it can be stored for no more than five days in the fridge, so the advice is to prepare small jars.
Jam with a little sugar
Wash and peel the oranges, also remove the white part. Cut the fruit into small pieces and discard the seeds. Pour the fruit, sugar and apple juice into a large pot, mix. Bring to a boil and cook for 40 minutes. Blend with the immersion blender and complete by adding the spices. Cook for a couple of minutes. Pour the jam into the jars to the brim, close the lids and turn the jars upside down for five minutes. After this time, flip the jars again and wait for the cloc.
