Porridge with apple and raisin

Today we propose a tasty, energizing and satiating breakfast, perfect in order to begin the day. The porridge doesn’t cause too high levels of blood sugar and, in addition to this, helps control the cholesterol. If you want to make the recipe more healthful and tasty you can add a pinch of cinnamon.

Ingredients

30 g of rolled oats

125 ml brown rice milk or other plant-based milk (soy, almond)

125 ml water

A handful of raisins

1 apple

A pinch of vanilla powder

Pour the rolled oats and raisins in a pot with water, cook over a moderate heat for 5 minutes. You should obtain a soft and creamy compound. Add now the plant-based milk and the vanilla and keep cooking for other 5 minutes. Serve the porridge with thin slices of apple on the surface.
