I can still feel the sweet and delicious taste of this porridge made with puffed rice, cashew milk, maple syrup, chocolate drops and berries. A real delicacy! The porridge is satiating, it satisfies the desire of sweet but without being heavy, it is energetic and, since it is prepared with berries and dark chocolate, it provides precious antioxidants that fight free radicals, inflammations and keep the mind alert and active!
Ingredients
60 grams of puffed brown rice
500 ml of a plant based milk (I used cashew milk, naturally sweet, but you can use the milk you prefer)
3 tablespoons of maple syrup
Dark chocolate drops
Berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
Pour the puffed rice into a saucepan. Add the milk and maple syrup, stir to mix the ingredients. Put on the heat and cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring often. Then remove from the heat and let it cool and thicken. I distributed the porridge on the plates when it was still a little warm because in this way the chocolate drops melted creating an exquisite creamy sauce, but you can also serve it cold, as you prefer! For the decoration you can spread some chocolate drops on half porridge and fresh fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, on the other half. Berries, with their slightly sour taste, perfectly contrast with the sweeter and fuller taste of porridge. The snack is served!
