To treat corns and calluses
If you have corns or calluses on your feet or hands try this footbath: add to a basin full of warm water 3 tablespoons of baking soda and soak your feet. This treatment helps to make the skin soft. Then, massage the skin with corn or calluses with this compound: 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of water, in order to remove dead cells.
To whiten teeth– Baking soda can be used also to whiten your teeth. Try this homemade toothpaste: mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and a little water in order to obtain a dense paste, use this as a toothpaste not more than once per week. Baking soda indeed removes spots but if used too often there is the risk to damage tooth enamel.
To remove oil and grease from walls and furniture
mix 30 gr of baking soda, 125 ml of white vinegar, 5 l of boiling water and 4-5 drops of lemon essential oil, use this to clean.
To clean spaces between tiles
Prepare a mixture with warm water, ¼ hydrogen peroxide and one tablespoon of baking soda. Add water until you have a compound with the consistency of a dense cream, apply it on the spaces between tiles and allow it to act for some minutes, then clean.
To add to laundry
baking soda is a natural deodorant and detergent, in addition to this, keeps clothes soft. If you want to remove smoke, sweat or mold smell from clothes or towels try to soak them for one night in a basin where you have mixed water and a glass of baking soda . You can use baking soda also to wash clothes and towels in the washing machine, you just have to add a tablespoon of baking soda to the normal liquid or powder laundry detergent. To get a better result try to use white vinegar instead of the laundry softener in the same quantity.
