The Collinsonia Canadensis, commonly known as richweed, is a medicinal plant of the Labiate family, native to North America and widely used by the Native Americans for its properties. The root of this remedy is used indeed in case of illnesses of the airways such as chronic rhinitis, sinusitis and phlegm, since it acts by reducing the secretions and swelling of the mucous membranes, all situations that otherwise could promote stagnation and the consequent proliferation of germs and bacteria. The collinsonia is also used to improve blood circulation, so it is useful in case of hands and feet always cold, edema of the lower limbs but also in case of hemorrhoids. Finally, it is antioxidant. You can use the mother tincture of collinsonia canadensis, the recommended dosage is 20-40 drops once a day in a glass of water, reduce the dosage when you notice an improvement of the symptoms. Very high doses of collinsonia can cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness and stomach pain. Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
