Devil’s claw is a painkiller with anti-inflammatory properties. For this reason this remedy is very helpful in case of pain and inflammations such as tendinitis, arthritis, sciatica, back and cervical pain, rheumatism. However, you should be very careful with devil’s claw, avoid it if you suffer from diabetes and if you are taking medicines to control blood sugar or anticoagulants. It is better to avoid devil’s claw during pregnancy or if you suffer from gastritis or ulcer. Devil’s claw can be taken in the following ways:
Cream –You can apply the cream obtained from devil’s claw in case of inflammations of joint pain.
Herbal tea
You can take devil’s claw as herbal tea, leave to brew 5 gr of the root of this plant in 500 ml of water for 15 minutes. Drink three cups a day.
Mother tincture
30 drops in a glass of water for three times a day for not longer than two weeks.
Dry extract
The dry extract is obtained from the root of devil’s claw, try to take 100-150 mg capsules once or twice a day for not longer than two weeks.
