Elm has detox, anti-inflammatory and cicatrizing properties. You can drink elm decoction or you can take it as glycerine macerate.
Decoction for internal use
The decoction is prepared from elm bark. It results a remedy in case of tonsillitis and laryngitis because the substances in the decoction are able to remove the mucus. It helps also in case of gastrointestinal affects. Boil 60 gr of elm bark in one liter of water, when the liquid part will be halved remove from heat, strain and drink up to two cups a day.
Decoction for external use
Elm decoction can be applied to wounds, insect bites, acne in order to speed up the healing.
Glycerine macerate
Very useful to treat the problems of the skin caused by intoxications of internal organs. Take 30 drops of glycerin macerate 2-3 times a day for 2 months in case of seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, oily hair.
