The eschscholzia, or California poppy, is a medicinal plant with sedative, antispasmodic and relaxing properties, able to induce sleep without the numbness effect typical of sleeping pills. The plant is native to North America but it has also been introduced in Europe. Try to take the eschscholzia in case of insomnia, difficulty in falling asleep but also in order to give relief to the pain that affects the digestive tract and biliary tract, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome and gastritis. Of this plant you can use the mother tincture, the infusion or the dry extract. Avoid eschscholzia during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in case of hypotension but also if you are already taking medications that affect the central nervous system as antidepressants or anti-anxiety drugs or other medications such as antihistamines that can bring to a state of drowsiness, because the eschscholzia could interact with these medicines and increase the effects.
