Eucalyptus, thanks to its balsamic anti-inflammatory, expectorant and antibacterial action, is able to reduce inflammation in mouth, throat and tonsils.
As herbal tea
take one teaspoon of dry eucalyptus leaves and infuse them for 10 minutes in a cup of boiling water. Filter and drink.
Steam Inhalation
Heat a pot of water to boiling, then remove from heat, add some eucalytpus leaves, better if fresh, and inhale the steam.
Essential oil
in case of continuous and irritating cough add some drops of eucalyptus essential oil to a handkerchief and breathe the aroma more times a day.
