Lassi is a very tasty and healthy drink made from yogurt, which is diluted in water and flavored. Very popular in India and an important ingredient in Ayurvedic tradition, lassi is easy to prepare and is really beneficial to our body. The yogurt used to prepare lassi can be traditional, cow yogurt, or plant-based. There are two varieties of lassi, sweet and salty. In the first case mix yogurt and water in proportion 1-2 or 1-3 according to the creaminess you want to reach, add a pinch of cinnamon or minced mint and a teaspoon of honey. Whisk everything and serve. As an alternative to spices, you can also choose a fruit such as mango or coconut, blend the pulp apart in a blender and manually mix the fruit puree and the lassi. In the salty variety, the lassi is instead prepared by mixing yogurt with water, one portion of yogurt and two or three parts of water according to the desired consistency, add a pinch of powdered ginger, ground cumin and a pinch of pink salt of Himalaya. Whisk all the ingredients. The lassi can be served either at room temperature or slightly heated to make it even more digestible, but never exceed 40 ° C.
