Fresh marjoram
Marjoram is not only a tasty spice but has also healthy properties, in fact marjoram is able to aid digestion and can reduce fat metabolism. Add marjoram to the dishes only at the end of the preparation because the heat destroys its properties.
As herbal tea
Marjoram helps also in case of stress by lowering blood pressure and by regulating the levels of hormones serotonin and adrenalin, responsible of the state of calm and anxiety. Try to drink the herbal tea obtained from marjoram: boil a cup of water, remove it from heat and infuse one tablespoon of dried marjoram for 7-8 minutes, strain and drink until two cups a day.
As essential oil
Stress can often cause headache, in this case try to massage 2-3 drops of marjoram in the middle of your forehead. If you are suffering from insomnia try this remedy: eat 3-4 drops of marjoram essential oil with a little unrefined cane sugar before bed.
