The millet, or Panicum miliaceum, belongs to the Gramineae family. Millet is a gluten-free grain, for this reason it can be eaten also by those people who are gluten-intolerant, millet helps to warm the body and this property makes the cereal very important in autumn or winter, it contains mineral salts such as iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium and phosphorus, and vitamins, such as vitamins of group B, E and K. It has a tonic action in case of stress, tiredness or after illnesses, it has also an alkalizing effect, this means that millet could be helpful if you suffer from sour stomach. In addition to this, millet is able to fortify the muscles, bones, nails and hair, it is able to balance mood. You can boil millet and eat it in soup, salads, but you can also use it in flakes in the breakfast yogurt with a tonic and energizing action. In order to fortify your hair you can take, once a day, a capsule of millet extract for two months, you can repeat the treatment during the year.
