Natural beauty, the spa is at home

For a soft, luminous and toned skin, it improves blood flow and tissue oxygenation and stimulates detox processes, anti-aging action
With just a few ingredients you can bring the spa at home! Yes, because the power of herbs combined with the strength of the warm-cold contrast gives you a pampering worthy of a beauty center for radiant, soft and toned skin, both for the face and the neck. So, let's try to understand the properties of this natural treatment and how to make it.

The power of herbs

Rosemary and mint aromatic herbs and green tea are used in the treatment we offer. But why these ingredients? Rosemary is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, counteracts the aging processes and dermatitis (de Oliveira et al, J Biomed Sci, 2019). Green tea is also a precious ally against free radicals and protects the skin from damage caused by the sun's rays (Binic et al, Evid Based Complement Alternat Med., 2013). Mint moisturizes the skin and makes it soft (Saraf et al, Pharmacognosy Res., 2010).

Hot cold contrasts and their benefits

The treatment involves alternating cold and hot packs. This procedure has been shown to improve the blood flow of the tissues (Petrofsky et al, Physiother Theory Pract, 2007). In this way, muscles and stiffness relax, detoxification processes are stimulated, tissue oxygenation is favored and the complexion appears brighter (Kim et al, Med Sci Monit, 2020).

Treatment for a toned and radiant skin, how it's made

Bring two glasses of water to a boil, remove from heat and divide the liquid in half. To one part add 1/2 tablespoon of rosemary needles and 1/2 tablespoon of dried mint leaves. Leave to infuse for half an hour, then filter. Keep the preparation warm, you can leave it in a double boiler. On the other hand, after waiting a couple of minutes, add a spoonful of green tea and leave to infuse for 30 minutes. It is important to wait for the temperature to drop in order to preserve the antioxidants in green tea. To the second preparation, add a few ice cubes. Soak a disk in the hot preparation and pass it on your face for half a minute, then soak a disk in the cold preparation and pass it on your face too. Continue in this way for about ten minutes, complete with the cold pack and do not rinse your face. With your face still wet, you can apply a few drops of a serum oil. For example, argan oil is excellent, with an anti-aging, moisturizing and elasticizing action for the skin (Boucetta et al, Clin Interv Aging., 2015).
