Soy milk and yogurt, against dark skin spots and anti-wrinkle cosmetics

Research has shown that applying soy extracts on areas of skin affected by melasma, a condition that causes blemishes on the skin typically related to hormones, such as during pregnancy or when one is taking the conception pill, once a day for three months reduced hyperpigmentation by 12% (Pierard et al, 59th annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, 2001). Not only that, soy also is useful in counteracting dull slin, skin without tone, wrinkles and expression lines by stimulating collagen production (Levin et al, J Clin Aesthet Dermatol, 2010). The application of soy yoghurt extracts has been shown to significantly increase skin elasticity and hydration (Miyazaki et al, J Cosmet Sci, 2004). But the effect of soy milk applications on the skin was also studied. In particular, the application of milk on the skin once a day for 5 days has allowed to counteract the damage induced by UV rays such as erythema and photoaging (Huang et al, Oncol Res, 2004).
Soy milk and yogurt, some ideas to make powerful cosmetics
This first recipe is dedicated to those who have an acne prone skin and have dark spots related to the inflammatory processes caused by pimples. Mix in a bowl two tablespoons of oatmeal and as much soy milk as needed to obtain a cream, apply this mask on the face and leave on for ten minutes, then rinse. This mask combines the properties of soy milk, which we have just seen, with those of oatmeal that is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, useful in case of acne, itching and dermatitis (Pazyar et al, Indian J Dermatol Venereol Leprol, 2012). And for a more mature skin that needs hydration, to stimulate collagen and to contrast dull skin and spots caused by photoaging? Get a pot of soy yogurt and mix it with the pulp of a kiwifruit. In fact, kiwifruit is a fruit rich in vitamin C, very useful in counteracting aging processes and skin hyperpigmentation. If you also have slightly red or irritated skin, you can also add 3 drops of chamomile essential oil (Telang et al, Indian Dermatol Online J, 2013). Apply on clean face for 15 minutes, then rinse. Then spray a floral water, you can apply a few drops of a plant based oil or a serum and complete with your face cream.
