Rehmannia glutinosa is one of the 50 basic herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine, called Di-huang, that means yellow earth. This remedy is used for its beneficial effect for problems related to the kidneys and adrenal glands, it purifies indeed these organs. In addition to this rehmannia helps alleviate symptoms related to menopause such as irritability, insomnia and hot flashes, is helpful in case of irregular periods and seems to have also hypoglycemic and anti-inflammatory properties. Rehmannia glutinosa, thanks to the presence of iron, helps to treat anemia, is rebalancing with a tonic effect that can increase energy and also benefits the urinary tract. Rehmannia glutinosa also helps prevent any side effects associated with cortisone intake. Do not take the remedy during pregnancy, breastfeeding and if you are taking any medicines in case of diabetes because there may be interactions with the medications. Rehmannia can be taken in the form of dry extract, 160 mg of active ingredient, 2 times daily in the morning and in the evening without food but with a glass of water.
