Rose water, or rose floral water, is a product for the beauty of face, eyes and hair that is obtained during the process of distillation of rose petals to produce the essential oil. Regarding the application of rose water, after cleaning the skin of the face you can tap a little product, also in the area around the eyes, then you can proceed with your usual face cream. Rose water helps illuminate and soften the skin and adds freshness by soothing irritations, balancing the production of sebum and regenerating the tissues. And if you have a problem with red eyes or bags under the eyes pour a little rose water on two cotton disks and apply them on closed eyelids for about ten minutes. This remedy may also be useful in case of conjunctivitis, since rose water has shown a specific analgesic and anti-inflammatory action in case of ocular problems [2]. But rose water is also a valid ally also to counteract dandruff and to soothe itches and seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. In this case you can do a massage by gently rubbing the skin and hair roots with rose water. Leave on for 15-20 minutes then continue with the normal shampoo.
