Silver is a trace element, and even though it is not considered essential, it results able to bring benefit to the body thanks to its anti-inflammatory, painkilling, antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Able to inhibit the growth of bacteria, silver was already known to ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians that used to keep water in jars coated with silver in order to purify it and avoid contaminations. As a remedy silver has an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action especially for what concerns the upper respiratory tract in case of flu, laryngitis, bronchitis but also conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis or infections of the urinary tract such as cystitis. You can take from 1 to 3 doses in a day, ask you pharmacist for advice, in association with manganese-copper or copper-gold. It is possible to use silver water purchased in chemist’s or herbalist’s shops topically, for example you can gargle in case of sore throat or pharyngitis. Moreover, you can treat also dull skin or skin with acne or pimples, soak a gauze or a cotton disk in the silver water and apply on the part.
