Phyllanthus niruri, also known as gale of the wind, stonebreaker or seed-under-leaf, is a plant native to the Amazon rainforest, but it can also be found in India, China or the Bahamas as well as the southern United States. The Stonebreaker has diuretic properties, a disinfectant action on the urinary tract and, one of the most important characteristics, is able to prevent and combat the formation of kidney stones and gallstones, in fact, the name Stonebreaker is due to the fact that, on one hand, the plant tends to grow in cracks of walls, on the other, it can break the stones of the urinary tract. This property is proved by scientific studies, such as the research published in 2003 on the journal Urological Research and carried out by a team of the University of St. Paul, Brazil. The Stonebreaker is able to speed the removal of crystals and kidney stones, it relaxes and at the same time relieves the inflammation of the urinary tract. In addition to these properties, the Stonebreaker is also used to protect the liver cells and the liver health. You can take Stonebreaker as tea or standardized extract, 1-2 tablets a day, 250 mg, after meals for 1 month.
