Wakame seaweed is a brown seaweed native to Japan but also cultivated in Europe. This type of seaweed is the most important ingredient of the miso soup and is a very healthy choice because it is rich in proteins, vitamins, such as A, D, of group B and mineral salts such as magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium and iodine, the latter important for the proper functioning of the thyroid.
