Singo, the scrub for a luminous skin that tastes of exotic lands

Our destination of today is where the sky meets the sea and the white and soft sand like talcum powder dives into the crystal water, while lush palms and banana trees grow as far the eye can see. We are in the archipelago of Zanzibar, in the Indian Ocean off the shores of Tanzania. Sunbathing on these dreamy beaches of Zanzibar restores even the most tired people, and fills you with joy to enter the local main market, where we really find everything, from meat to fish and spices. We also like to disconnect from the vibrant confusion of life and colors and dive into the underwater silence of the sea around the island. But be careful, the currents in Zanzibar are strong and, in fact, we struggle to return to the boat. But never mind, the show, with colorful fishes, starfish, corals and sea urchins, paid off for the effort! And then, as an evening cuddle, we experience a truly unmissable beauty ritual, the singo. This ritual belongs to the Swahili culture and is dedicated to the brides the day before the wedding. It is a scrub prepared with natural ingredients able to make the skin luminous and fresh. Let's taste a bit magic and beauty of Zanzibar by creating at home this exotic ritual that becomes a powerful beauty treatment!

Singo, the scrub for a luminous skin

Chop up a tablespoon of dry rose petals and 1 tablespoon of dry jasmin flowers. Add a tablespoon of whole cane sugar and pour two tablespoons of rose water. Stir with a spoon. Complete with 2 drops of ylang ylang essential oil and, if you have at home, 3 drops of sandalwood oil, massage the skin of the face with this scrub twice a day.
