The crescent moon pose helps tone the muscles of legs and back, this asana relaxes the tensions of shoulders and neck and helps improve and prevent sciatica. If you link the exercise with the breathe this also will help you to focus your attentions on your body, muscles and joints, without judging. This first part of the pose is useful in order to familiarize with the pose and prepare the body for the real pose.

Stay on your hands and knees on the yoga mat, try to find the most comfortable pose for you.

Bring the left leg between your hands, the right leg stays extended.

Activate your left foot, the toe looks the ceiling. At the same time, by exhaling, extend your left leg by bending your back and by approaching the face to the left knee.

the left leg bends, the foot stays on the yoga mat and the torso raises up.

Continue this sequence for other three times.

Repeat now the exercise with the other leg.

When you finish the exercise go on all your fours again
