Lateral arc pose is a yoga pose able to improve the breathe, the flexibility of the back and to strengthen the muscles. Also the waist can benefit from this pose, that is useful to tonify the part and helps to lower localized fat.
Stand on the yoga mat, relax the left arm.
By inhaling activate the right arm and raise it to shoulder height, hand palm is facing down. Then, when the arm is at shoulder height rotate the palm that now should face up. Continue to raise slowly the arm over your head.
Exhale and relax the arm, but not bring it down. Then, by inhaling, activate again the arm and stretch it upward, by stretching all the right part of the body without arching the back
Exhale and bend gently to your left, the relaxed left arm slides down along the left leg. Bend until it is easy for you. Stay in the pose for three breathes.
Inhale and slowly move the torso and arm in order to come back to the normal posture. Relax the right arm and bring it down, palm is facing up and at the shoulder height rotate it facing down.
Repeat the pose with the other arm.
