It is better to begin every yoga lesson with the crocodile pose. This pose is also useful at the end of the day in order to relax mind and body, the back and the legs, to keep away anxiety and stress, or in the morning in order to begin you day full of energy without fears.
This pose is for everybody.
Lie on your belly, spread the legs with the feet toes pointing outwards and stay with the arms crossed under your head. Rest the forehead on the wrists of the hands. See the picture.
Close the eyes and let your thoughts go, do not stay with them but just with your body, and feel how it presses against the floor.
Now focus your attention on your breath. The pose imposes the diaphragmatic breathing, with inhalation the belly is pressing down into the floor, with exhalation it relaxes with all the body. Stay in this pose as long as you can, from 5 to 10 minutes or also longer in order to help your mind relax.
