Yoga for the second chakra
The second chakra is located in correspondence of the sacrum and is connected to the kidneys and bladder. The yoga sequence that we see today helps to rebalance the second chakra by benefiting the urinary tract and counteracting the pain in the lower back.
You are standing on the yoga mat, interlock your fingers behind the back of your neck. Exhale and bend your knees into the yoga pose of the chair. Stretch your arms in front of you, breathe. Then, lower your arms and touch the ground, stretch your legs in the standing forward bend.
Bend your knees and lower your pelvis. The hands are in prayer and the elbows press against the inside of the knees in malasana, an excellent pose for the second chakra and to counteract inflammation in the urinary tract.
Now practice the yoga position of the cow's face. You are sitting on the mat. Place your folded left leg on the mat. The foot is close to the pelvis. The right leg goes beyond the left one. Raise your right arm and fasten your hands behind your back. Breathe. Practice now on the other side.
Get on your left side. The legs are bent. Stretch your right leg and lift it off the ground. With your right hand, grab your left foot and try to raise your left knee, even just a little. Stay in the position for a few breaths, then repeat on the other side.
